3 DAYS | 23.000 HECTARES | 435 KM | 20 TEAMS |
From April 28 to April 30, 2023, Wheels of Thrill organizes the Deutsche Weinstraße Rally. A tour that takes us along the oldest wine route and right through the second largest wine-growing region in Germany (the Palatinate). With over 1800 hours of sunshine a year, the area around the German Wine Route has a climate almost reminiscent of the Mediterranean countries, and the area is sometimes even advertised as "the Tuscany of Germany". The German Wine Route is also known for the almond trees along the road that begin to bloom pink and white in late February/early March. With the rolling Palatinate Forest to the west, the rally route will be a challenging combination of winding forest roads and panoramic roads through the vast vineyards. The starting point of this event is the authentic hotel Auberge du Cheval Blanc, where their restaurant with no less than 2 Michelin stars will spoil us in the evening. Their location in the far north of the Alsace in France, near the German border, means that we will reach the German Wine Route on Saturday in just a few minutes. Wheels of Thrill is looking forward to welcoming you here.
More information about the exact route, all locations, and participation costs can be found below. In case you still have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Although its name might suggests otherwise, this rally will be a pleasant drive where conviviality and exclusivity are prized. Please note that we allow a maximum of 20 teams only and that only exclusive (historic) sports cars can participate. The decision of Wheels of Thrill is binding! Available slots will be assigned based on the 'first come, first serve' principle, although former participants get priority.
